About the Electrical Industry KZN Pension Fund

The Electrical Industry Kwazulu Natal Pension Fund is a defined contribution retirement fund established by the National Bargaining Council for the Electrical Industry of South Africa in terms of the Labour Relations Act No.66 of 1995. The Fund is an umbrella fund with many participating employers. Participation in the Fund has been extended to all employees within the jurisdiction of the Council in the province of Kwazulu Natal.

The object of the Fund is to provide the members of the Fund benefits at retirements in terms of the provisions of the Rules of the Fund as amended from time to time. The Fund also provides other benefits upon members’ death or disability before retirement.

Our primary job, as the Fund, is to assist members financial security after retirement. This is achieved by ensuring that the funds/contributions are invested responsibly, and benefits paid out correctly, on time when they are due.

The Fund uses National Bargaining Council of the Electrical Contracting Industry offices as its client service centres where members can walk in and be assisted. This Fund’s walk–in centre is in Durban.
